Dr Jane Goodall, Conservationist extraordinaire

Create a blog post subtitle that summarizes your post in a few short, punchy sentences and entices your audience to continue reading.

Dr. Jane Goodall is a renowned English primatologist, anthropologist and conservationist who has dedicated her life to helping human’s closest relatives, the chimpanzees. She is most known for her long-term research in Tanzania where she broke boundaries and changed human understanding of chimpanzees forever.

Many of you may remember the iconic National Geographic image of a young Jane reaching out and holding hands with a baby chimpanzee in the forest, a moment that captured the worlds hearts. She had no formal training and there was very little research available yet she was able to get never been seen before insight into the chimpanzee world.

It was long believed that humans were the only beings to use tools however during her time in Tanzania, she shattered this belief when she saw with her own eyes a chimpanzee squatting on a termite mound, using a stiff grass blade to dig out termites to eat. A ground breaking discovery, that was the first of many.

“Do you have a design in mind for your blog? Whether you prefer a trendy postcard look or you’re going for a more editorial style blog - there’s a stunning layout for everyone.”

Jane has brought to light the need to protect chimpanzees and has been pivotal in broadening conservation to include the needs of local people and the environment. She’s done so with a uniquely empathetic, inclusive and encouraging manner which although previously criticized has also been a contributing factor to her success.

Today she travels the globe, she is a UN Messenger of Peace, speaking about the ongoing threats facing chimpanzees and the environment, motivating each individual to take part in doing what they can to help.
